Ora: non voglio dire che l’allarme che si sta creando su un popolo italiano apparentemente sempre più razzista sia ingiustificato e fuori luogo. La sostanza c’è, purtroppo. Ma non esageriamo. Si sta, ad esempio, citando da più parti e con orrore il sondaggio di Sky realizzato il 24 agosto scorso. La domanda era: “E’ giusto che i 5 sopravvissuti al naufragio al largo di Lampedusa rischino il processo per immigrazione clandestina?” I risultato secondo molti, giustamente scandaloso: SI’ per il 71 per cento. Ma attenzione, non degli italiani come si dice, ma di quelli che, avendo fatto l’abbonamento a SKY si trovavano quel giorno davanti al televisore e avevano voglia di prendere il telecomando e mandare un segnale, secondo il proprio modello di pensiero. Pessimo, ovviamente per chi scrive questo blog, ma non denunciabile come un criterio per capire cosa pensano TUTTI gli italiani. Scrivono gli organizzatori, infatti, “I nostri i sondaggi non hanno alcun valore statistico, in quanto rilevazioni aperte a tutti e non basate su un campione elaborato scientificamente.”
Ebbene, e allora? Non è vero che gli italiani stiano perdendo il senso della misericordia e non è vero che siano razzisti? Di certo purtroppo è vero che sta prendendo piede un brutto clima di xenofobia. Ma dare valore al semplice meccanismo di televoto come un modo certo per interpretare il volere degli italiani (spettatori? e di cosa? e con quale informazioni?), mi sembra che vada proprio a favore di chi vorrebbe questo strano meccanismo di democrazia televisiva (e sondaggistica) come l’unica esistente nel nostro Paese. Che poi, guarda caso, fa capo agli stessi gruppi di potere politico che vogliono la ferma guerra agli immigrati.
